Meanwhile, Kyle arrives home and reflects on his kiss with Claire, feeling content. Daniel, on the other hand, is at home feeling despondent after a failed job interview. Heather arrives, and they discuss their struggles, including Daniel’s concerns about leaving Genoa City. Daniel reveals that Lucy reacted poorly to their suggestion of moving to Portugal and expresses his reluctance to teach her that running away from problems is acceptable. Heather tries to explain their situation to Lucy, but the conversation only leads to more tension.

Lucy, feeling betrayed, storms off, and Heather confronts Daniel about his lack of support. They argue about whether leaving town is the right solution, with Daniel insisting that they shouldn’t make Lucy feel more isolated. Heather counters by accusing Daniel of abandoning them, which leads to a heated argument where Daniel storms out. Heather then tries to reconcile with Lucy, explaining that moving might not solve their problems and stressing her love and desire to support her daughter.

In a final scene, Nick meets with Mariah and Faith at Society to check in before ending their day. They all compare notes about their recent texts with Sharon, underscoring the ongoing family tension and uncertainty.
