Emmerdale’s Nicola King left sobbing in the street over brutal Angelica twist

EMMERDALE’S Nicola King has been left sobbing in the street after learning daughter Angelica will be going to prison for years.

The businesswoman – who is played by Nicola Wheeler in the ITV soap – conspired to cover up daughter Angelica killing Heath Hope while they were joyriding, but it backfired and now Angelica has confessed.

In tonight’s episode the couple took Angelica to plead guilty, but only told her what it means after the fact.

After Nicola and husband Jimmy broke the news to Angelica that she was going to prison, regardless of what happens, Nicola was devastated.

With Angelica rushing off, horrified, blaming them for her going to prison, Nicola really couldn’t cope.

She broke down in her living room with Jimmy.

“I can’t not do anything,” she said.

“I can’t bear it Jimmy. I need some air.”

Running out, it soon emerged that Nicola had gone to ambush Bob at the B&B while he put the bins out.

She told him: “Bob, I’m really glad for Cathy, that they’re dropping the charges. It must be a relief.

“Unfortunately with Angel, they’re going through with hers. She pleaded guilty, she’s owning up to her mistakes, I thought you should know.

“They’re probably going to take her away from us, for God knows how long.

“I know it’s a big ask, but the Youth Justice Authority will be here next week and if there’s any way you could bring yourself to speak to them about how this was all a tragic accident, how unlucky it was that Angel happened to be behind the world and that she’s a good kid really, it might help lessen her sentence. Please?”

But Bob was in no mood to be kind to Nicola after everything her family had done.

“You want me to help your daughter get away with killing my son,” he said horrified.

“You’ve already tried to slither out of her taking responsibility and you’re here now doing it again. Heath is dead. Sorry changes nothing. Sorry doesn’t matter.

“What matters now is consequences and I hope the judge makes Angelica really suffer the consequences.

“I hope they give her the maximum sentence and they lock her up for the longest time they can. But no punishment will be enough for what you and your family have done.”

Nicola broke down in tears and fell the floor devastated.
