Having been stabbed by former friend and long-time enemy Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton), Kit was rushed to hospital with his life hanging in the balance.
While escaped killer Mick was captured by police, wrongfooted after seeing daughter Joanie’s (Savanna Pennington) fear when he terrorised those who got in his way, Kit’s loved ones were worried sick.
As the soap continued in the aftermath of the siege, Kit’s mum Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), sister Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) were at his bedside.

But just when it looks like Kit is going to be fine, he takes a sudden turn for the worse, and is in need of life-saving surgery.
It’s a tense wait at the hospital as doctors try to save his life.
Bernie also tries to find Kit’s newfound son Brody (Ryan Mulvey), who had been in on Mick’s plan to do a runner, but hasn’t been seen since.
Where is Brody, and will Kit pull through?
You’ll have to tune in now on ITVX to find out, or watch Coronation Street on ITV1 at 8pm.
But Kit isn’t the only one suffering after Mick’s actions, as young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) is subdued after being left to fend for himself at the school.
It was Sam’s cousin Lily Platt (now played by Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) who locked him out of a classroom while she hid from Mick, and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) confronts David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) about this.
What will Lily have to say about her behaviour?
