Morrow believes the show missed a golden opportunity by not exploring a romantic connection between Nick and Lily. “The unexpected character I would have loved to see Nick paired with is Lily,” Morrow reveals. “I’ve wanted to see a storyline with her for a while. Crystal Khalil is amazing to watch, incredibly talented and beautiful.”

She expressed feeling tired of being the dependable girl and jokingly suggested she should kiss Nick.”
However, as Morrow recounts, the moment didn’t lead to anything more as Lily quickly backtracked, leaving Nick feeling friendzoned. Morrow feels it’s time for Nick and Lily to explore a romantic fling, even though he acknowledges that many fans are deeply attached to Nick’s history with Sharon. On the other hand, Morrow notes that some fans believe Nick is merely passing time until he reunites with Phyllis.
