However, just because this plot seems to make sense in Sharon’s twisted mind doesn’t mean it will play out as she hopes.

In fact, the show may be setting us up for a bait and switch, where neither Daniel nor Lucy becomes the intended target. The real victim could very well be Heather, who would undoubtedly put her life on the line to save either Daniel or Lucy. With Cameron whispering manipulative suggestions in Sharon’s ear, she might be pushed to act in a way that tragically results in Heather’s demise.

This development could open up a wealth of storylines stemming from Heather’s death. For instance, Lucy might spiral out of control, transforming into a rebellious teenager reminiscent of past soap opera terrors like Britney or Lauren. Meanwhile, Daniel could seek comfort from other characters, perhaps even turning to Clara, which would create some much-needed competition for Kyle.

Additionally, the show has been hinting at characters discussing trips to Portugal to see Paul, but we know he has made his last appearance.
