Coronation Street star Emrhys Cooper appeared delighted as he was reunited with his ‘babies’ following a long time apart. The actor recently moved back to the UK and landed a part in the ITV soap.

Emrhys hails from Devon but it was in 2008 when he moved to Los Angeles. He quickly started working on many of the US’s biggest shows including Desperate Housewives, CSI:NY, Touch and Blackish.

He also played an integral role on the hit prime-time network TV series Person of Interest playing MI6 spy Young Greer. The elder John Greer is portrayed by the British actor John Nolan.

But viewers of the ITV soap first saw Emrhys on-screen in Corrie as Rowan back in March when Leanne Battersby accompanied Simon Barlow to one of his seminars at the Chariot Square Hotel. Leanne was taken aback when the group mentor approached her and offered her some unsolicited advice as she dealt with Simon’s drink-driving and her partner Nick Tilsley’s reaction.

Since then, Corrie fans have watched as Leanne has become further involved in The Institute, which has provided her with technology that allows her to ‘talk’ to an AI version of her late son, Oliver, who tragically died in 2020, before promoting her to ‘level five’ where she can recruit her own members.

Away from life on the cobbles, Emrhys is settling into life back in the UK and taking to Instagram, the new soap star revealed his delight as he was reunited with his beloved pets as they joined him in the Cotswolds.

He first shared a picture of his two dogs and cat earlier in the week and said to his 72,000 followers: “Can’t wait to be reunited with my little furry friends. Let the countdown begin.” Corrie co-star Jane Danson was among those to respond to the post, writing: “Aw look at them.”

But since then, Emrhys has confirmed the arrival of two of his three pets with a string of selfies posted to his Instagram Story. Alongside a picture of him laying on a bed with his dog on his lap and cat alongside them, he wrote: “just missing my little boy Monty. I’ll be getting him in less than two weeks.”

Alongside selfie’s with his beloved pets, he added: “My babies made it all the way from LA to the Cotswolds,” alongside a string of red heart emojis.
