Coronation Street star Colson Smith has detailed his latest achievement, four years after finding his running mojo, ahead of preparing for a huge personal role. Fans of the actor will know he has undergone quite the transformation in the last few years having made major changes to his lifestyle during lockdown.
While he has never revealed the amount of weight he has lost, he has told how he would drink around five pints of fizzy drinks a day before his fitness overhaul.
Colson, who is well known among fans of the ITV soap for playing Craig Tinker, or PC Craig Tinker to give him his full title, documented his battles with his weight as part of his own film ‘Bored Of Being The Fat Kid’, which was released on YouTube in 2021. The film showcased the soap star finding his love for running and his journey pounding the pavements and as a result, his incredible weight loss journey too.

The soap star continues to document his running escapades on social media and his latest appeared to mark a bit of a milestone in his life-changing journey. Sharing a picture of himself on Instagram, Colson could be seen a stones throw away from the Corrie set having zipped around MediaCity.
Captioning the post, in which he could be seen posing with a medal around his neck, the 25-year-old wrote: “Media City 5K – 18:48 [rocket emoji]. My first run over 4 years ago was in Media City just before lockdown, so to get a top 10 finish in The Media City 5K is pretty daym cool.”
He also shared the same photo to his Instagram Story and said: “MediaCity 5k after work. Guess who came 8th,” adding a face holding back tears emojis. And his fans and followers were quick to send him messages of praise.

Colson has also since revealed that this weekend he’ll be taking on a big role at his sister’s wedding. He shared a picture of the pair enjoying a pre-wedding meal, with them both blowing out a candle in a dessert. Alongside it, he wrote on Friday (June 28): My big sister getting married tomorrow. I’m master of ceremony, any tips?!”
