Neighbours icon Jackie Woodburne looks nothing like Susan Kennedy in the first look of her new series Imposter.

The first official image, which you can see below, features Woodburne in full costume alongside her co-stars, which include Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh and I Kissed a Girl host Dannii Minogue.

The trio are teaming up for Channel 5’s upcoming show, which details the moment where “family feuds spiral into betrayal and murder”.

This new Australian drama, which has been created by Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison, will mark Woodburne’s first TV role since the soap failed to secure a renewal deal this year.

Woodburne, who has played Susan since 1994, recently spoke about the cancellation, with the actor saying that it felt “different” to the previous axing.

“Everyone’s got an idea of how they would like the show to end, but that [the previous] finale was written and everyone gave it 100% because we all thought: ‘This is it,’” she explained.

“I don’t think you can do that twice. It wouldn’t have the same impact. I have no doubt that [producers] will come up with a heartfelt, authentic, beautiful farewell. Everybody’s, once again, just focused on making sure that we give it our all… But it does feel different this time.”

Imposter has yet to confirm a release date in the UK. Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.
